Denise works in a narrative figurative style using themes and ideas inspired by other artists such as William Blake, Peter Bruegel the Elder and William Hogarth,  and by her imagination, experience and environment. More lately her imagery has been influence by her purchase of land near the town of Boorowa in country NSW which has inspired many works including 'Is Rugby more interesting than Cricket?' & 'Woodcutter' which you can see in the Gallery.

The works pictured on the Home page and in the headers are inspired by the English artist and poet William Blake and his illustrations for the Biblical story of Job, in Denise's contemporary reinterpretation Job is a farmer who does battle with Mother Nature.
